RF Systems and ICT Networks (SDRs, Ruggedized Switches & Interoperability Gateways)
RF & ICT To address the RF and ICT requirements of the Defence and Paramilitary Forces, TASL is working towards indigenisation of state-of-the-art Software Defined Radios & Radio Relays and related products, developing interoperability gateways, networking solutions and network management systems with special emphasis on embedded technologies, encryption and synchronisation. Maritime Division The Maritime Division is focusing on Design & Development of Integrated Platform Management Systems, Integrated Bridge Systems, Maritime Command and Control (C2) Systems, Simulation and Virtual Reality Solutions which replicate real-time environment coupled with high standard of performance, reliability and robustness.
Mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) TASL is developing a family of Mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for various defence and civil applications. These Mini UAVs will be fully equipped with a wide variety of mission-specific payload, appreciated operational capabilities and a user-friendly man-machine interface.
Night Vision Devices (NVDs) Tata Advanced Systems is progressively developing the capability of assembly, testing and maintenance of Night Vision Devices (NVDs) for multiple defence applications. The company is in the process of tying up with a global technology partner to undertake local production of sub-assemblies in a progressive manner. The company has established a Clean Room Facility which undertakes the assembly, test and measurement of Electro-Optic Payloads at Hyderabad.
Aero-Structures Tata Advanced Systems, by synergising capabilities across the Group companies, offers Design-to-Manufacture and Build-to-Print solutions to Indian and Global aerospace customers. Our joint solutions are built on the strong track record of Group companies that have provided engineering & IT services to the aerospace industry including Composites for more than a decade. Tata Advanced Systems now has the necessary infrastructure, stringent quality control systems and expertise available for manufacturing of aero-structures using materials such as Aluminium, Titanium, Steel and Composites with capabilities that include:
A state-of-the–art AS 9100 and ISO 9001:2008 certified facility for assembly of Sikorsky’s S-92 Helicopter Cabins established at Hyderabad is fully functional and delivering cabins to the OEM. Tata Advanced Systems holds requisite key production licenses issued by Ministry of Commerce for the manufacture of major defence equipment including aero-structures.
Joint Ventures With the aim of acquiring key capabilities and technologies, TASL has established several Joint Venture companies. Notable amongst these being NOVA Integrated Systems for UAVs, Missiles & Radars, TARA for detailed part manufacturing of helicopters, Tata Lockheed Martin Aero-Structures for Empennage and Centre Wing Box for transport aircraft and Avana Integrated Systems for Homeland Security.
